Wordless Wednesday: Birthdays

So this week's Wordless Wednesday theme is Birthdays which is a good choice for August when both my son and I have our Birthdays. Last weekend we celebrated my son's 6th birthday with a little Lego party with a couple of his friends. The kit for this Lego topper came from the Lego store in the Disney Village at Disneyland Paris on our last visit. My son loved it!

This year I will be celebrating my Birthday at Disneyland Paris again, below is my cake from last summer's Birthday celebrations at Cafe Mickey, I can't wait to see what this year's cake is like!

Since becoming a 'grown up' I have never really celebrated my Birthday much, maybe with the odd take away meal at home but nothing really special. I feel like I am definitely making up for this at the moment and we have booked in for a meal at 'Captain Jack's'. This restaurant in the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' ride has recently reopened with some additional Pirates of the Caribbean theming and Captain Jack making appearances too. It will be out first visit so stay tuned for the review of our visit on the blog including that Disneyland Paris 25th anniversary special Birthday cake, I had better save some space!

  4. Ohhh!! the cakes look awesome! Early happy birthday wishes to you! I've never done much to celebrate my birthday either, but two years ago the day before my birthday, we were getting ready to visit Disney for the 2nd time a few weeks later, and lo and behold, the grocery store had a kids birthday cake on 75% mark down, because someone had ordered and not picked up, well it was Buzz Lightyear, and the little green men and all that, and I ADORE Toy Story so I had a disney cake that year, and was sooo happy! Nothing like Disney to brighten your day!!

I love that you got a Buzz Lightyear cake! This is absolutely the stuff I am learning it is ok to do and have! Definitely a good dose of Disney brightens my day too :-)
