Disney Wild West Cafe @Harrods

A couple of weeks ago we returned to the Disney Cafe at Harrods for lunch with my sister, her husband and son. We had been previously when the cafe had a more general theme and blogged about it here. More recently the restaurant has had a make over to become the 'Disney Wild West Cafe'.

At the entrance to the restaurant were some large screens with video clips and drawings of characters from Toy Story setting the theme for the whole restaurant.

Apart from the starry ceiling there wasn't much evidence of the restaurant's previous look as the whole place had had a Woody and Jessie style make over.

The menu had options for adults, kids and some puzzles for them too. Adult meals started at £7.50 for soup with a mini baguette up to £19 for a Rib-eye steak. Kids meals included Mickey Pizza for £7 and penne pasta for £6.50, the most expensive being hot dog for £10. Drinks were expensive and most of us shared bottles of water.

All the way round the edge of the restaurant was a model railway track (not moving) with Toy Story characters on board.

As well as the puzzles on the menu there were plenty of things to explore for the kids whilst waiting for the food.

The kids were also all given a complimentary copy of the Toy Story book and CD whilst we were waiting for our food.

We had a range of food, My sister and I had pasta (I added garlic bread from the kids menu), others had burgers and the kids had Mickey pizza and ham and cheese toasties.

The food wasn't amazing but it was fine and the portions were reasonable, the restaurant gradually got busier but wasn't overwhelming full. We left having had a fun family time and went to spend the rest of the afternoon in Hyde Park (after a quick look around Harrods' amazing toy department).

Happy Friday everyone!

Clare xx
