Petit Fernand Name Labels Review

This summer feels like it must be our busiest as a family yet! The kids have so much going on at the moment with dancing lessons, school trips, Beavers, Guides and that's before I start to think about the summer holidays and making preparations for my daughter's Guide camp and our big Florida adventure. With our holiday to Disney World in August I am also keen to make sure I am ready for the new school year before we go so I don't panic and rush around when we get back. It was perfect timing that Petit Fernand, a Bordeux based company, offered us some of their fully personalised labels to review. Labelling clothes is never my favourite job at the best of times and to make it even harder we have only had sew in labels up until now. This has always been a real hassle, sitting at the end of the holidays and sewing tags into piles of school uniform. I felt quite liberated to see this company offer both stick-on labels and iron-on options and I love how the labels are delivered in neat cheque book sized books, one for each name.

The kids and I visited the Petit Fernand website in order to create a pack for each of them with a range of types of labels. They were keen to be fully involved in creating their labels as not only can the text be fully personalised including font and colours but also the background colours and patterns. The most exciting part for the kids was choosing from the vast array of pictures which they could have alongside their name. My daughter is very in to anything cute at the moment especially unicorns and anything labelled with the word 'Kawaii' so she was very happy to find a whole section with this name on the website for her to choose from. My son is discovering the joys of playing the guitar, video games and football and their were plenty of pictures he could choose to suit his interests too.

When the stickers arrived they came with full instructions included in the booklets. The stick-on name labels are ideal for school uniform, clubs and any other clothes with a tag inside and they are very easy to use. I also had no problems applying the iron-on name labels which are great for using directly onto the tops - my daughter's new school shirts are all ready for September.

We also chose some handy stick-on name labels which are great for labelling stationary and pretty much anything else you can think of including note books, lunchboxes and drinks, great for all those school trips and camps coming up.

The final labels we ordered as part of the packs were shoe stickers. So handy for football boots, school shoes and all the dance shoes which both kids use. These look so much smarter and clearer than my previous efforts with a marker pen!

Thank you Petit Fernand for making my job labeling clothes and uniforms so much more easier. The kids absolutely loved choosing the pictures themselves and helping with putting the stickers on themselves- perhaps this means that they take more ownership of their things! Fingers crossed that this is the end of lost school jumpers, mixed up dance shoes and looking through the lost property at camp- I can only hope! The labels were provided in exchange for my review. All opinions and views are my own. Petit Fernand produce a handy value pack including a range of the labels featured and this can be ordered at here.

    1. Definitely. I sometimes end up going into school just to retrieve all the jumpers.

  6. This is such a great idea...I can't tell you how many pairs of jumpers we have lost before especially with two young kids in school. Having name labels is so important.
